In addition to your ARHS school team eligibility regulations, NSSAF rules and regulations and NSCA rules and regulations, cheerleaders are expected to abide by the cheer team rules and regulations.

Our number one rule:  RESPECT YOURSELF, RESPECT YOUR SCHOOL

Viking Cheerleading Exists to:


- Encourage school spirtit and pride in Amherst Regional High School.

- Promote physical and mental development

- Develop lifelong values and skills.

- Promote and uphold school spirit, unity, and pride

- Represent the school to the highest degree

- Set an example of good behaviour and sportsmanship at all times, whether in uniform or not

- Promote friendship with each other and with other schools with whom we compete, perform and to go camp

- Promote the development of lifelong values.



- In accordance with ARHS eligibility standards, all members must be passing in all classes.

- Cheerleading must take priority over all extra-cirricular activities for the entire time of commitment.

- All practices, games, camps, and compeitions are mandatory.

- Repeated absences by a team meber may result in being replaced by a team alternate.

- All members are expected to take part in all fund-raisers.

- All jewlery must be removed, belly rings can be taped, but should be removed.

- Long hair must be tied back.

- Fingernails must be kept short to prevent injury to other team members.

- DO NOT perform stunting without coaches supervision.
